Dubai’s rich people are known for their fascination with collecting endangered and rare animals to show their status. The practice of keeping large cats as pets has been around for a long time however an entirely new trend has come to light: “stacking” turtles. This cruel method involves stacking turtles on top of each other to soak up more heat and bask in the sunlight’s ultraviolet rays.

The person in question appears to have put the stack together himself. But it’s important to remember that turtles are threatened with extinction and keeping their pets as pets or employing them to serve inhumane purposes could have a significant negative impact on their already declining number.
